in a way, i think valentine's day has its purpose. what i hate is how corporations manipulate consumers and we feel we must spend money w/out really realizing why we spend money.
it's like buying christmas gifts for those people we don't give shit about, and that's not cool.like birthday, i feel vday is a special day when we should just stop and appreciate those we love (not just bf/gf, but family members/friends/pets). i'm just not for "i'll buy you gifts and take you out for dinner because you're going to whine if i don't".
therefore, i'm going to spend today with a friend that i love dearly - just like how i spend it any other major holidays, and hopefully every day of my life.
