don't remember any playground injuries, but a particular bike accident stands out. i built this ramp with a large board and several bricks and other items to prop it up. the painfull engineering of that ramp was probably equally proportionate to the suffering i endured when i jumped it, dipped my handlebars forward too far, and then twisted them so that one end was firmly planted in the ground and the other in my stomach. i've had the wind knocked out of me on several occasions, but this one instance i was really scared because it seemed like an eternity before i could finally get air back in my lungs. i think i got like 4 feet of air on that jump though...
