i dont understand why your company owns your name? Did they buy it for you as a gift or something?
It all comes down to the email address that is listed in the registry...if you can figure out who has access to that account, all you have to do is go to a domain name supplier like http://www.namecheap.com and use the transfer feature. This will send an email to the owner of the domain name. (whatever address is listed in the directory). Then they follow a link that will sign the name off as being transferred - and you can change the dns servers and emails to whatever you want.
