your useless philadelphia sports fact of the day:
philadelphia teams have successfully been handled by teams on their way to dynasty status in all four major sports:
- 93 phillies vs. toronto blue jays (2 world series consecutively)
- 97 flyers vs detroit red wings(2 stanley cups consecutively and about a bazillion appearances in a 5 year span)
- 2001 sixers vs. la lakers (who only lost 1 game that entire year in the playoffs. at least we beat destiny's child)
- 2004 eagles v. new england patriots.

...meanwhile, tampa bay got to play the Raiders (football) and the Flames (ice hockey) on their way to glory. There's just no justice at all.
