Hotel Allegro is a nice place, but it will be quiet down there on the weekend as it's in the middle of downtown.
That exhibit with the skeletons and skin and stuff riding bikes and playing tennis, etc. will be at the Museum of Science and Industry starting this month.
Make sure you check out Millennium Park.
Don't go to Sears Tower observatory, but DO go to the bar at the top of the Hancock building. It's free, and will be the best drink with a view you'll ever have.
