this looks about as fast as you can get with tape
http://www.lacie.com/products/pr…but If you want speed you want find it in TAPE, what you could do is get a RAID http://www.apple.com/xserve/raid…
for your file storage, a raid will save you from a dead hard drive. and provides enough space for archiving.
you then get a TAPE Backup system(the Lacie thing or a single FW tape drive and Dantz) and do nightly weekly and monthly backup rotation and setup some a system where someone takes the tapes home or puts them in a safe deposit box, this will save you from fire or theft.
