the problem that Macro is facing that most managers think Flash as a intro screen and catchy thing to use (yes they still do).

they are trying to break out their mold of being trendy software maker to more enterprise system intergrator.

they are trying to utilize their sotware with intergration, which can be dangerous thing.

is the business world ready for using Flash as content / business application? no not at this moment. I would say about 3 years when .Net and other application over stream can be utilized fully.

the bandwidth issue still lingers as a problem. alot of ppl seem to have broadband but the file sizes seems to get bigger.

macromedia has been marked as one of the high scoring on their "Web Services" application in comparison to IBM, Sun, and others. But would your enterprise system development team trust Macro do your intergration? No way. they really need to brush on their image. And I think this web site is the first step.

The fine line is that Macro must relate to business managers and their enterprise system and the designer and developers who uses Flash as interface tool.

As a designer, i am turned off by the site but as a strategy consultant, i like where Macro is going. Next time when i have to use best practice or business case, i would use Macro and try to advocate it. I just hope that Macro would give me enough info and figures to justify why they should choose Macro as their IT implementation strategy.
