The sitting down has nothing to with the trough. Because while pissing standing up sprinkles a lot round the toilet, but you won't see it. It doesn't spray back up again.
If you lay something like a newspaper round it you will see what I mean.
I don't have to show what I man I'am in standing up while peeing. I know what I'am I don't have to show.
We also have toilets with just water in them and no trough in them. They probably made these so when you shit the water doesn't splash up on your butt. Which happens...
