    Blaw, If I'm not mistaken, you live in Johnstown, PA (my folks are from Summerhill, PA - btw) and commute to Pittsburgh?

    I'm planning on pitching a similar situation, but reversed. Maybe one week a month in the office.

    Does your company get a tax break for telecommuters?

    The retention angle is part of my plan.

    I am worried about what Kona mentioned regarding motivation and distractions. The kids will be the hardest part...unless the office is in an outbuilding or garage...
