I honestly don't know, mrdobs...
... I just know that they went in and toppled the Taliban first - they had their elections and they're moving forward (yeah, slowly - but it is a forward progression)... and that Bush called out an Axis of Evil that included Iraq... I will quote:
"...North Korea is a regime arming with missiles and weapons of mass destruction, while starving its citizens.
Iran aggressively pursues these weapons and exports terror, while an unelected few repress the Iranian people's hope for freedom.
Iraq continues to flaunt its hostility toward America and to support terror. The Iraqi regime has plotted to develop anthrax, and nerve gas, and nuclear weapons for over a decade. This is a regime that has already used poison gas to murder thousands of its own citizens -- leaving the bodies of mothers huddled over their dead children. This is a regime that agreed to international inspections -- then kicked out the inspectors. This is a regime that has something to hide from the civilized world. "
... 'something to hide'... that's a true statement - and I personally have a feeling that we'll find anything relating to these possible WMD's (if they did exist) hiding somewhere in Syria.
I think Iran's next... and then N. Korea - but I don't think that's going to be necessary. Speaking of N. Korea - do you all realize how many U.S. and other troops occupy the nuetral area between the South?
All of these countries are on the list. Perhaps the bi-lateral talks w/china and other asian countries will open the way for talks w/that little bastard Kim Jung Il (sp?... heeewwoooo :) )...
eh - there's so much to talk about here - I just know that this isn't one man's greed agenda - that's rediculously impossible - there are too many people working on this war and working on gathering intel and hunting down terrorists etc.
Like I stated before - there's far to big an effort to try and ensure security in this country. It'd all be one big lie... one that can't be proven (yet).
So, dob's, I can honestly say that given all the new security, efforts amongst the world intel community, the terror threats that we're made aware of via news etc --- that the US would definetly have gone into Iraq. The fact remains that the US is being preemptive on a global scale to attempt to ensure that terrorism doesn't invade it's borders.
This is something I do truly believe in.
:)
oh... and it's not a christian thing (because the use of christianity in this IS A JOKE and the repubs should stop that shit because they look like hypocrites)
