a lot of design firms are like that too these days.
One place i know of checks the logs on all the printers and youre SCREWED if you ever print even one price of personal work. they use AIM for communication round the office internally but they check logs of everything. so, you must be careful what you say and to who.
they also check email, and have hidden cameras all over the office. so, dont get any ideas sending sexxxy letters to your girlfriend or sneakin in to knock the boots at your desk after hours. you'll be SOOO busted.
luckily, i dont work there. buncha friends do tho. sucky. it's got to be weird knowing youre being watched so closely. seems as though it would cause more stress and lack of trust and loyality for the company than it would do good.
