i went to highschool in roxbury (has many sketchy areas) and i played basketball for my highschool. practice usually got out at like 6 so iall the afterschool busses were long gone. so i had to wait for a regular bus on one of the worst corners in boston (was home to the biggest racial riot since the 70's when i was attending there). i was just at the stop, rocking out to some u2. i guess these 5 black dudes were just heckling me the whole time and i didnt hear a word of it. when i got of the bus they just tee'd off on me saying i shouldnt be on their block and shit. sucked wicked bad. my ribs still hurt if i sleep on my side for a long time. i was only like 15 at the time too. though, still, i wasnt pissed off about the racial aspect of it, that didnt bother me. what did bother me is i wasnt even given a chance.
