1. you get new cards, the thief gets away with some crap and you get back to your lfe in about a week.
2. Complete and utter identity theft and credit destruction.
My advice for this is you get a copy of your credit report right now, keep it close and handy. Banks are now comparing these dated documents along with theft reports to keep credit accounts active. this way you have proof that the negative actions of the thief have affected you, not poor consumerism.
