mg33, the first time i ever even saw ear candles, was at the "new age" section of a state fair many years ago. It was amazing to see what was being pulled out of peoples' ears. I've heard some people claim that it's helped their sinuses. Supposedly a good candle can pull crap out of little pockets that go down on the neck a bit.
Whether you believe they work or not, using them lets in a nice current of warm air that could help loosen up the junk in your ears if nothing else. Or buy ear drops that do that. My sister used to have to use the curved end of a bobby pin to scrape crap out of her ears. Now she just uses drops that soften the wax up.
But i'm not a doctor, i just play one on NT.
