I prefer sleeping with the tv on as well (not the radio anymore unless it's classical. Otherwise the songs dictate my dreams and they won't be as good, i've found).
Also, I'm scared of either forgetting to lock doors or turning off my space heater at work. If i'm the last one to leave the office, if i can't get someone on my cell to hear me rattle the locked doors, I cut the back of my hand on one of the sharp corners of the handle so that if I start to panic that i didn't lock the door, i can check my hand and see the welt.
