try setting your audio file to "stream" Flash should be able to drop frames on a machine with a weaker processor so that I can keep up with the audio being played.
(assuming you have one long audio file)
If you have multiple audio files... set them to stream on your timeline, then create a new movie clip for each audio file. Account for the same amount of frames as each audio file and cut/paste your audio file into each movieclip.
