    hey brooke.
how well do ya know the client?
    at all?

i had a recent gig with a client i've worked with a lot in the last half year..but the contact was new...some dude i'd never met before...
he had this whole 'trying to intimidate me' thing going on..it was pathetic...kept trying to lowball me on quotes...short change me on deadlines..it was totally ridiculous..
last time i had him on the phone, i just made it clear that if he wanted the project to go well, it would take the time i specified, and that was final...he got all pissy and tough guy, but i just held my ground..fuck that chump...the rest of the dept. knows i deliver the goods....he's just trying to flex and show what a 'skilled manager' he is...

    ur..
    ok..
    back to brooke..

    my point is..
    the fella you're talking to..
is this budget he's talking about 'the small one' for real?..or is that a game...will he then turn around to his boss and say 'look at the cheap price i got this illustration for!'

    anyhow..just watch it...
if the company is that big..and the exposure is that big...it doesn't add up that they only have a 1/4 of it...
    ya know?

anyhow..i'd take it anyhow..but only with a contract saying i'll make up the other 3/4s on further work...
and i'd get that in writing..

    ;)
    cheers brooke..
