P4s
Centrino
P3s
G5s
and G4sG4s are must more solid than a centrio by far. And overall my 1.0ghz powrbook had about the same power as my 1.8 ghz P4 dell Insprion.
G5s have much more power over the p4. The AMD 64 and G5 are my fave chips over all.
If you are comparing a centrino to a G4... no question.. G4.. not only because of power but the whole Apple package is the best you can get.
Right now PCs are just bug machines... maybe that will change with longhorn but for now they are pretty crappy
