same happened to me a year or so ago mate - but it's turned out to be the best thing ever.
tell your best friend that yoou really need them to be there for you - and to have understanding when you lose it - if they understand they will help you out - like mine did - and you realise friends are more important than any partner anyway.
and get pissed - some say it doesn't help - but i fell quickly in love with johnnie walker...
