I'm building a site on MT for a friend. I use 1and1 myself in the UK.
MT has dealt with my support questions within a few hours. Far better than 1&1.
The Control Panel is far more solid, and the performance has so far been ok. I'm a little concerned about the load on MySQL but that's about it.
With the 50% discount I'd move from 1&1, but I can't afford it right now.
Without the 50%, I wouldn't bother at all. It's still too expensive - even for great tech support.
