Yes, it is enjoyable and difficult at times. We've been together since Dec 03 when we first started working with songs I had been writing.
All three of us have been in bands before and live/breath music.
We're all in late 20s, and took the approach that if we want to make something with music, now is the time to try our best at it.
Making music comes very natural, I don't know if it does to the other two, but to me at least it does. I often hear dozens of songs, lyrics, arrangements floating around my head all day long. For the most part it is easy to realise them.
The hard part is bringing them to life but not dictating what the others do 100%. We have been having some difficulty with that lately. It's just one of those things.
We've had two succesfull shows with above average crowds for just getting our feet wet locally. Chicago can be tough. You really need something unique to stand out here and from what we've been told (and personally feel ourselves) we're on that track.
The next part is letting that evolve and see how we can make each song different than the one before while keeping the same general idea throughout.Music is an amazing, amazing thing. I could go on for hours and maybe one day I will. The essence for me is that awe-striking connection that even 10 seconds of the right song can have on a person. When you've done that, you've succeeded.
