  you will need to set your swf to 100% in yr html page.

  make sure yr bg image is in an mc.
  then in the Stage.onResize function target yr bg_mc
  by putting

  bg_mc._width=Stage.width
  bg_mc._height=Stage.height

  use a bg image that doesnt badly distort
