    Well I know of a technique in Macromedia Director. The idea is to have source/content files seperate from the launch file. Having a seperate PC and MAC Stub program and from there your Director project/applicatino is hybrid.

    As for the autostart thing, check out web references for autostart using director. That software is widely used for cd-rom projects and will have information about autostarting. Director is pretyy much like flash so it might be the same thing.
