  mogwai speaks the truth. Sometimes, you don't know, until the point you ask her and she says yes. If you both decide to commit to each other, no matter how many coffee grounds get thrown, no matter how you smell of cheap perfume, etc, then it will work. That's sorta an oversimplification, but that's how I knew -- we dated three years, but I knew I wanted to marry her one week into our relationship, simply because I was committed to her and her to me. It sounds unromantic, but it's true.

  Are there things I don't like about her? Sure. But I'm committed, and I get over those things easily. There are so many more things to love her for.
