    1. TJ's Gingerbread House
MUST VISIT; T J Robinson's home of award-winning Louisiana Fancyfine Food (Cajun/Creole) has a fairytale atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and freshly prepared meals; it is only difficult to name favorite dishes because there are so many prepared under the loving, watchful eye of owner-chef-legend TJ Robinson since 1972; discover your own favorite dish, but always request her specialty cornbread, which is arguably the nation's best; the exquisitely decorated pink and brown wooden building with its gazebo dining area will charm you and the upstairs parlors are studded with dolls from an ideal childhood; though you can't take the charming gift shop home, you can always have her gingerbread specialties shipped; an excellent choice for business and convention luncheons; major credit cards ok; reservations recommended, but not required; Tue-Sat 9:30a-9p; conveniently located on the outskirts of Jack London Square next to an I-880 freeway exit; 741 5th Street; 510-444-7373
