shellie i am so sorry you are going through this, it must be horrible.
about 10 years ago my uncle was having back pain for months and was just taking pain medication as per doctors orders, then one morning he woke up and couldnt move his legs. he died three months later of spinal cancer. i am sure your dad will have a better chance than my uncle however, because my uncle gave up on life as soon as he found out.
it goes to show that if you have any sort of pain for more than two weeks you should probably have it checked out, then get a second opinion.
