    maybe you could try to write a preloader in Javascript. I know you can have a type of preloader in JS for images, dont if you can do the same thing with SWFs.

    Otherwise, try everything in all the messages above, and you own combinations of all the advise above. In my experience there is no set solution to the jaggys, flash has given me all sorts of problems of this nature and the only way to resolve it is keep trying. You could try loading it as a seperate swf with its own preloader inside another swf. If you know what I mean.

    Try importing as quicktime by saving image as psd and importing, it might be heavier though.

    The jagged road will be long and hard but you will find your way to the smooth tarmac one eventually.
