it's perfectly absurd to come up with comparisions between countries like that. it's not like you have to spend your GIP in international aid. Countries do have limited money for this kind of stuff you know? And aid is requested every week around the globe. It's wonderful that most countries are already helping out. Mind that you have to put planes in the air, feed volunteers, etc, etc, etc... It's not cheap.
don't let news bit you like this folks; you'll end up with dumbprogram comparisions.
