i am assuming you are holding down "c" when starting up.
are you fixing your startup drive? if not then dont try to startup from the cd, just open it and use the progs. otherwise, restart in OS9, then put the disc in and restart holding "c" until the nortons background comes up, and you should be home free.
if this isnt working right, there must be something wrong with the disc you have.
