I can do this in PHP.
You create folders on your sub dir and in those folders you can put in as many jpg or png files as you would like no need to code, then you give a person an address example www.nicksfriend.com/foldername/
if a person visits that url he will get a list of the file names in that folder and he can select one of them once he selects a file name it shows that piece of work i can add a previous and next button also image details name size file type dimensions and a index link to go back to index. I mostly code in php and xhtml. Im not a fan of flash, but someone can convert this into flash cause i know flash supports php but i don't see the reason to it.
