To those in the US. Don't waste your time reading the NME It's the biggest pile of crap ever written and has nothing to do with music. It's got its head stuck so far up its own arse it can't even hear any sound other than its digestive system, let alone music.

It disgusts me the way doherty's drug use has been glamourised, and the fact that the press and music critics still cover him.

If a politician or tv presenter (or others in the public eye) admitted to doing serious drugs they would be given the sack, so why is it different for musicians?

More importantly, it's not like you can forgive him for being a crack addict and concentrate on the music because, the libertines/babyshambles make rubbish, 3rd rate, rehashed music. It puzzles be why he has been allowed to continue.

The man needs serious medical help. The music industry is absolutely the worst place for him to be right now.

What worries me is that if he does die soon, then he will be made into some important musical hero (like jim morrisson, kurt cobain etc) who died young but had they lived on longer would not be anywhere near as important as they are now considered.
