  So this isn't for crit as the agency has already picked the roughs they are presenting to the client [the ones with the asterix] but thought I would share anyways...

  The problem with the original/current logo is it doesn't translate well to packaging and ultimately that is the goal. The agancy was requesting a contained 'seal/stamp' type of treatment.

  These are still rough and need quite a bit of work, but this is where it's at for now.
