the guy confronted me about my 'new arrangement' and attacked my loyalty to him.
He added that I ruined his vested financial interested in that client... even though he quit (which I think ruins all vested interested, right?).
He realized that he screwed up and he's regretting the hell out of it. He's trying to play the friendship game w/me... telling me how much of a friend and how loyal he's always been.
It's really sad - because we had some real moments when we were both good 'friends' to each other.
I know this guy well enough that we aren't going to salvage this. He'll carry the grudge and talk shit about me to pretty much everyone he encounters. The thing is - all the clients he ever brought on board know that I'm the one who did the work.. and he was the bullshitter... and they continue to come back to me - not him.
