Compared to people who frequent the online design community they may be amatuerish but if you look at all the websites everywhere, their stuff is actually on the better side.
IMHO the business plan is killer and I wish I had thought of it. The way they get designers to submit templates and such, they must have a really nice profit margin.
People just hate TM because they feel threatened by them. If you can create a website with a unique feel and style which fits into a companies marketing plan and goals, you have nothing to fear from TM.
TM mostly steals work from amatuers and kids who are just getting started. Sucks for them, but that is life.
