Well, we buy stuff 'cos we like it at that particular time but then at some point in the future we may not like it anymore and in that case we get rid of it.
I don't know any people who throw away their unwanted/used/second-hand record collections.
If we don't sell our old records to other people who want them, we give them away to friends (or at least I do)
