    both system architectures are totally different.. very much like the example of oranges and apples..

    pc is a cisc based machine (unless you're talking about the p4's - all p4's are cisc and risc machines).. macs are all risc machines..

    risc machines (correct me if i'm wrong) have a wider pipeline.. the cpu reads code more quicker than cisc machines.. cisc machine efficiently grab code (step 1)and decode it (step 2) before they compute the calculations.. while risc machine - they grab code and decode at the same time..

    sooooo what does this mean.. depending on what applications you are doing - apples and pcs have their pros and cons.. in terms of efficiency risc machines are far more better than cisc machines.. < btw correct me on this stuff, i just learned this recently from my micro processor class and i happen to know this cuz i have an exam on monday (its require material)
