you gotta think though, they can both run the exact same design software. if cost is an issue and you're not an idiot and aren't going to click Yes when IE asks if you want to install BargainBuddy (or you just use FireFox), then you'll do just fine with PC.

my buddy is starting up a design firm. his wife started one about a year ago and she used all Mac: mac flat screens, G5s, a mac server, mac laptops... and her startup costs were very high. my friend is planning on using PC, because we can do the exact same things on PC. his startup costs are much, much lower, even with dual 19" samsungs and sony desktops at each workstation, so it's not like we're sacrificing style. we can still have our office look pretty sweet without having mac. of course there are more security issues with PC, but a knowledeable Windows user can easily keep themselves safe.

plus, on PC you can even make your computer look pretty much like a Mac. Here's how my current desktop looks (cropped, of course). Here's how an older one looked. personally, i like how Windows functions, since I've been using it for god knows how long. but i definately like the look of Mac (don't you hate how we really only have 2 options? Windows or OSX? yeah sure, linux or beos or whatever. i won't use them.)

anyways, i like Mac and I like PC. sorry this post is so long. soemtimes you get carried away...
