Mac vs. PC

I just got a G5 after five years of PC. While I must say I think the functionality of the PC makes a little more sense. For instance on the Mac if I want to add a folder when I'm in the side by side panel view I actually have to switch the view to a list view so that I can add it (there might be a better way of doing this, btw). I am enjoying the Mac a lot more than my PC.
I kow its probably not the right reason to like a computer but it seems to me that the GUI design is so much tighter coimpared to the PC...feels like it has a higher quality.
I don't like that when working in the programs on the mac that there is no background...your work panels just float above your desktop which I find really distracting and its easy to accidentally click on a panel from another program and wham...it switches over to that one. I liked that the PC has a full background on the program, seemed easier to focus on the task at hand.
there are a lot of quirks on the Mac that take some time to get used to if you've been on a PC for a while. But like I said I like the Mac better despite these small annoyances.
