    At last its here - the 'Scouse Brainfreeze' with the worlds smallest funk DJs smashing through some mega-rare funk 45s in fine style...
    Already described as ‘the Merseyside Product Placement’ (by Grandslam magazine, who reviewd this CD about a year and a half ago - bit upfront there lads...), this is a blinding mix of funk 45s, expertly blended by Liverpools Christian McBride (aka the compiler of our 'Fat n Funky' 45 King series) and DJ Illson. The tunes range from sweet sixties soul such as Solomon Burke, Jo Ann Garrett etc, through to obscure oddities with odd names such as The Mugs, The Honour Society, Gene Boyd, Robert Potts, Junkyard Band and some relatively well known stuff - Jimmy Gray Halls anthemic jazz track ‘Be That Way’ with its huge drum break, Ruby Andrews, Madeline Bell and Something Real. As Brainfreeze was built around an advert for a 7-11 and Product Placement around a Milk advert, the midgets go one better...
