As an overall concept I really like it. True it's a lot like the Vast site but hey it's a good concept. I would use the serif font you're using for the tabs for all the text, ditto the comments about the zoom being useless, and either make bigger popups, or better yet have the big versions pop up in the Flash itself. I guess my main problem with the site is your work itself. Even if you haven't done a lot of real design work, I don't think it's helpful to show all these edgy graphics with distressed typography. If I was a prospective client I would turn around and run away at that point.
