ok. it was a site that featured open source .fla files you could download and modify.
One of them was fantastic because it was the framework of an os x doc at the bottom of the page. As you moved your mouse over the 5 boxes, they raised (magnified) like they do in osx. I presume the user was encouraged to download it and modify it to fir his site.
I thought that if someone on the web has seen it, they would be here.
