I say continue complicating it - reason has always been a program in which you can use it on a basic (albeit lame) level not unlike the horrible fruityloops and still allows for quite in-depth sound manipulation/sequencing and so on. I'd argue it hasn't been complicated enough. Lately it's been getting a tad on the boring side - am thinking of switching to far more of a logic base now.
And they'd better automate the nnxt - that was pathetic how it was impossible to automate that.
