I would strongly advise you getting a 15" w/ at least 1 GB ram. Much better machine all-around. More power, more features, runs cooler.
A little secret. There is a program called Apple Developer Connection (student). You can get your laptop for dirt cheap. As an example I will show you the price of this 15" powerbook.
15" with 1.5 G4 / 1GB ram / 128 MB video RAM
