We use also this rule:
If the client wishes to self-maintain or outsource the website in the future, or get a new agency to do the work, the CAN purchise the SOURCE CODE.
We charge them addiotional 50% of the website-project-costs for the source code. In this way you can still make money for the last time when your client decides to leave to a (cheaper) agency. It works, and it's quite normal here in NL.
