qt player for windows is way slower and shittier than the one for mac os. my crappy 1.25ghz/256MB RAM emac will play stuff perfectly that my 2.8ghz/1GB RAM PC chokes on. i think you're SOL here my friend.
you could maybe make an AVI out of it and use WMP or try a different codec that QT can handle better.
