Responding to online job ads: Need Advice

    Good question. I've replied to lot's of posts from here and other places and have only recieved a handful of replies. I always just attach my work samples, cv and some times a cover letter. I think specifically for me when I 've applied over-seas, they see I'm from Canada and stop reading and don't bother to reply.

    There was one studio in the UK I applied to twice and it wasn't untill I applied the second time that they got back to me and informed me that the position wasn't worth my while, in terms of cost of relocating. Most places I've never even heard back from and I'd personally never bother to phone them. I don't care how desparate I am, if they can't be arsed to reply to me, then fuck 'em. It's just common courtesy.

    As for places actually reading CV's, I've been in quite a few interviews where it was evident that they hadn't bothered to look at my CV, just my work. Which is kind of lame..
