east side is not really my scene.. the bars/handouts are predictable and so are the people. the locals look like they were swallowed alive by the urban outfitters catelogue and the scene is totally lacking. Also, in too many spots at night it is totally unsafe for the girlies to be walking their dogs around the hood by themselves unless youre rough like that.
occasionally ive gotten out to vida but tend to stay much closer to los feliz. soemtimes there is a decent party or two but most for my arent worth the drive on the 10.
but this is coming from someone who is totally stuck on beach living. born and bred NB SB now living in Santa Monica/Venice.
