5050: you take what ströbele says way too seriously. it's more a stunt than meant for real. it's just a statement. it has been so heavily criticized here. it's never gonna happen.
thing is, he made this statement after an earlier attempt by the opposing party of striking the german unity day as a holiday. this due to economic reasons (and germany has way too much holidays anyways).
