wow this post has gotten big since yesterday hasn't it? biggest that i've ever started in any case...

anyways some people seem to think that I have a problem with the muslim people or that i'm ignorant for thinking that christianity is frowned upon in muslim nations.

I dont' want to beat a dead horse, I'm just making clear what I had in mind when I started this thread. It was not for the purpose of conveying hatred or mustrust with the followers of the muslim faith because I have said before that I have cool friends that are muslims. But they are cool because they have grown up and conformed to society in north america and they don't express any extremist views in public.

The whole thread was supposed to be about how fucked up it is that this german politician who has seemed to convert to Islam is trying to replace easter monday with a muslim holiday. The headline "Moslem-Feiertag statt Ostermontag?" literally means "Muslim holiday instead of Easter Monday?"

So, it's a possibility that IF they even make an official muslim holiday in Germany (one of the largest Christian nations in the world), that it COULD replace Easter Monday. It's not sure that it WOULD replace it, and it's not even sure that they'd go through with making this muslim holiday official in Germany.

It's just messed up that it's okay (according to Islam) to spread all over the world, even onto (for lack of a better term) "Christian Land" and spread the faith, while it's (once again, for lack of a better term) illegal to let Christians, or followers of other religions, build churches on "Muslim Land". In THIS case, yes, Islam is hypocritical.

You can't ignore that churches get destroyed or are denied reparation in countries of muslim faith. You also can't ignore that these EXTREMISTS of the muslim faith are in their countries cutting the heads off of Japanese and American workers and tourists not only because of the American occupation of Iraq but because they are on "holy land".

That said, just THINK about what I have said because I have not posted this to beat a dead horse, but to clear up what some people have interpreted what I have said as being racist or ignorant. Enjoy your day and let's just kill this thread.
