i wrote this before in another thread

    1) when you get off the plane, you should go straight to the http://www.bluelagoon.com
it's just next to the airport and it's specially good when you been sitting on an airplane for some hours

    2) The nightlife as said in other posts are a bit crazy, but that's just more fun... there is 200+ bars/clubs etc. in a city with 190.000.. [ Sirkus ] is a great place.. but also a madhouse at the same time..love that place!
[ NASA ] is good for live music.. [ Thorvaldsen ] is nice a quiet place with the best cocktails i town and then [ Cafe Reykjavik ] where they have an icebar .. always a hit for tourist..

    3) there is like a million guided tour to about the same price, so it doesn't really matter what you take.. rent a car and drive around yourself for a day or two. you can just pickup a map at the hotel and ask where to go.. we all know ...and if there is a clear sky, you should drive 50km out of town and watch the pretty northenlights.

    4) you should also see some of the art museums. they have some great stuff.. and go to all the galleri's in town too, they have some pretty nice and sometimes pretty crazy stuff..

    5) you should go to a local resturant for sure.. get the old icelandic plate with everything incl. rotten shark, half a sheephead, some dry fish and some whalemeat.. it's a must for sure..

    6) you have to remember to dress warm... i t might only be below 0 but the wind make it 15 below.. .

    7) you should also bring your lifesavings.. everything is twice the price of Manhatten..

that's about it..there is 10 times more to do of course, but this should keep you busy for a day or two, so when you get bored you can give me a call..
